KOOP (pronounced koh-op) is a community radio station in Austin, TX, owned and operated by its members in a cooperative structure depending primarily upon its volunteers and supporters for all operations of the station.

KOOP has more than 60 unique, locally-produced programs airing every week. Each of these programs is produced by an individual or by a collective of members. KOOP's mission is:
to engage, connect and enrich the whole community, including the underserved, through creating diverse, quality, educational music and news programming.

# KOOP and KVRX
KOOP shares the 91.7 frequency with KVRX the University of Texas student radio station. KOOP broadcasts Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm (CT), and weekends from 9:00 am - 10:00 pm. KOOP also has internet streaming only and HD Radio programming during the week after 7 p.m. When we're not on the air, KVRX takes over. So, it's KOOP during the day and KVRX at night.
